Welcome to libCalibGeom documentation

libCalibGeom is a calibration SDK for camera, lidar, and robot systems. It provides the core algorithms and data types needed to initialize, optimize, and evaluate calibration results for common single- and multi-sensor workflows.

What you can find here

  • Method: the calibration concepts and workflow used by libCalibGeom.
  • MCP Server: to configure AI assistants for libCalibGeom use.
  • C++ API Reference: native SDK classes, functions, and examples.
  • Python API Reference: Python bindings, data types, and runnable examples.
  • Rust Wrapper: Rust setup, quickstart, examples, troubleshooting, and API reference.

Available APIs

libCalibGeom is distributed with language wrappers so you can use the same calibration functionality in different environments:

  • C++: native API for integration into performance-critical applications.
  • Python: packaged module for scripting, prototyping, and developing, also in interactive sessions.
  • Rust: for calibration in modern, performant and safe Rust applications.

Package contents (overview)

A standard libCalibGeom package contains:

  • include/: C/C++ header files.
  • lib/: compiled native libraries (platform-specific layout).
  • python/libCalibGeom/: Python package, compiled extension, and typing metadata.
  • rust/: Rust wrapper sources when the SDK is built with CALIB_BUILD_RUST_WRAPPER=ON.
  • models/: versioned neural detection models available in the source revision.
  • examples/: C++, Python, Rust, and MATLAB examples.
  • docs/: this documentation site.
  • mcp/: MCP server for libCalibGeom integrations.
  • EULA.txt and thirdparty_licenses.txt: product terms and third-party notices.

Getting started

  1. Configure and validate an organization certificate as described in Licensing.
  2. Review the Method section for the recommended calibration flow.
  3. Pick your target language API (C++, Python, or Rust) in the navigation.
  4. Start from an example in the package and adapt it to your sensor setup.
